ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Ursula Freer After painting in traditional media for many years I started experimenting with the digital medium three years ago. It has totally changed my way of creating art. The medium is quite amazing; there seems to be no end to the possibilities for creative expression and great freedom for communicating ideas.

My interests lie in the connection between man and nature, our planet and the universe, science and art. I think that we are nearer to an understanding these connections.

Working with images is my way to experience, gain insights and communicate these concepts about how things work on many levels. It is my wish that the viewer of my work will resonate with my sense of wonder and be drawn into exploring these profound realities.

"There is nothing more beautiful in life than the mysterious." – Albert Einstein

BIOGRAPHY

After spending my childhood in Poland and early adolescence in Europe I came to the U.S. as a refugee. I have lived in Chicago, Woodstock NY and Southern California. Throughout my life I have always been involved to some degree in theater, dance and the visual arts. I have been painting professionally for twenty years; five years ago digital art became my primary medium.

ABOUT THE PRINTS

These are fine art prints on museum quality art paper printed with archival inks. I have taken great care to use the highest quality materials available to create art to be enjoyed for many years.

Unlike posters these prints have a soft velvety look without any gloss or glare to distract from their beauty. Each print is hand signed by me with title and the date of its creation.

If you are interested in a larger print than the sizes shown here, please contact me for a quote.

LIMITED EDITION PRINTS - Please contact me for pricing.

THIS WEB SITE

This web site was created in collaboration with my son, Mark Bernard (click to show address), who spent many hours creating and re-creating the programming as his mother kept changing her mind. His technical skill, creative input and patience are greatly appreciated.
